Palindrome™ Precision Chronic Hemodialysis Catheters
The Palindrome™ Precision HSI chronic catheter with heparin coating and silver ion subcutaneous sleeve is intended for acute and chronic hemodialysis, apheresis, and infusion. It may be inserted either percutaneously or by cutdown.
The device is contraindicated in thrombosed vessels or for subclavian puncture when ventilator is in use. This product should not be used in patients with documented hypersensitivity to silver, heparin or porcine based products. Heparin coated catheters should not be used in patients with severe thrombocytopenia, uncontrollable active bleeding disorders, or with skin necrosis from previous heparin use. In case of infection, the silver in the catheter does not replace the need for using systemic anti-infective agents. Clinicians/healthcare professionals should be aware that there are very limited data on prolonged and repeated use of silver containing products and particularly in children and neonates.

Mallinckrodt™ Endobronchial Tube
It is indicated during thoracic surgery or intensive care for left-sided Endobronchial intubation when there is differential or one-lung ventilation. Polyurethane tracheal cuff material shows much higher puncture strength than conventional materials. The special design of the bronchial cuff assists in the positioning of the distal tip in case of confirmation with a fiber optic bronchoscope. The blue bronchial cuff helps identify the distal tip while confirming correct placement with the fiber optic bronchoscope. The slightly curved bronchial tube tip helps improve placement in the left main bronchus. X-ray opaque markers at the distal tip, above the bronchial cuff, and at the tracheal opening assist in the location and verification of tube position. Its accessory package includes 2 Opti-Port™ connectors, 2 GentleFlo™ endobronchial suction catheters, and 1 “Y” connector. It is also available with an x-ray opaque carinal hook for the precise location of the endobronchial tube inside the carina.
Shiley Endobronchial Tube
It is indicated during thoracic surgery or intensive care for right-sided Endobronchial intubation when there is differential or one-lung ventilation. Polyurethane tracheal cuff material shows much higher puncture strength than conventional materials. There are a blue color-coded bronchial cuff, bronchial proximal lumen, and bronchial pilot balloon for easy identification. The special “S” shaped bronchial cuff provides a greater margin of safety when placing the endobronchial tube near the right upper lobe. The blue bronchial cuff helps identify the distal tip while confirming correct placement with the fiber optic bronchoscope. X-ray opaque markers at the distal tip, lateral eye area, above the bronchial cuff, and tracheal opening assist in the location and verification of tube position. Its accessory package includes 2 Opti-Port™ connectors, 2 Gentle-Flo™ endobronchial suction catheters, and 1 “Y” connector.

BIS™ technology offers clinicians added security to provide tailored care and comfort to their patients, including those who are more sensitive to the hemodynamic effects of anesthesia. BIS™ technology provides valuable information about the patient condition to help clinicians address the unique anesthesia needs of each patient. This technology can be particularly valuable for:
- Patients with complex conditions whose condition can change frequently or suddenly;
- Patients with cardiovascular diseases;
- Obese patients;
- Trauma patients or other patients requiring reduced levels of anesthesia.
Thanks to the BIS™ technology, it is possible to optimize the anesthesia practice for each patient. It allows you to confidently monitor a proven, objective measurement of the patient’s depth of consciousness and optimal anesthesia for each patient. While BIS™ sensors collect electroencephalograph, i.e. EEG data, BIS™ technology contributes to the collection of simple EEG data through a non-invasive sensor applied to the forehead of the patient.
To capture the low-voltage EEG signal, a conductive ink is used, which is printed directly on the surface of the sensor under adhesive foam and Zipprep technology. This creates an electrode surface that aids in the acquisition of low-voltage EEG. Zipprep technology helps to clean the first layer of the epidermis. The mechanical action of pressing the electrode causes the teeth to remove some of the first dead skin cells, exposing the more electrically conductive inner layer of the skin. The conductive gel inside the electrode penetrates this newly exposed area, creating a good electrical path between the EEG-bearing inner layers of the skin and the conductive traces inside the sensor. The EEG signal is then transmitted to the BIS™ monitor via these traces. By adding a thin layer of sponge containing a very precise amount of gel, the gel bridges the forehead and the conductive electrode surface.
Permcath Chronic Silicone Oval Catheter Kit
The Permcath™ chronic silicone oval catheter functions as a bridging device during fistula maturation or prolonged vascular access for hemodialysis, apheresis or infusion. Its round lumens provide low arterial and venous pressures, as well as average blood flow rates of 400 mL/min. The catheter is made of a soft, silicone material and is designed with a stepped tip to provide a 2.5 cm separation between the arterial lumen and the venous tip. The oval shape of the catheter, combined with its silicone structure, provides great bending resistance making it ideal for left-sided or difficult insertions. The catheter is supplied in a variety of insertion lengths to accommodate different patient anatomies and physician insertion practices.
