Mesh PerFix Plug
The PerFix™ Plug is ideal for use in the tension-free preperitoneal repair technique. With over five million implants worldwide, the Bard™ PerFix™ Plug is designed with curved edges that easily fit imperfections of various sizes and shapes. Monofilament polypropylene design promotes healthy tissue growth. This product is indicated for the repair of inguinal hernia defects.
The literature reports that there may be the possibility of adhesion formation when Bard® mesh is placed in direct contact with the bowel or viscera. Do not use the PerFix™ Plug on infants or children, use of such mesh material will endanger future growth. Monofilament sutures are recommended for proper fixation of the PerFix™ Plug.

With over 50 years of clinical experience, Bard ® Mesh Pre-Shaped is the Gold Standard product to be used in a “tension-free” hernia repair technique. Bard ® Mesh Pre-Shaped strengthens the weakened area, allowing tissue growth and flexibility. Bard ® Mesh Pre-Shaped can be customized prior to surgery and customized to any unique situation. This device is for single use only. Do not resterilize or reuse any part of Bard ® Mesh Pre-Shaped. Paying attention to the use, fixation, and suture technique of the Bard ® Mesh Pre-Shaped shaped mesh is crucial in the presence of known or suspected wound contamination or infection. Using any permanent mesh or patch on a contaminated or infected wound may result in fistula formation and/or prosthesis removal.
Bard Groshong® Picc Catheter
The 7617405CE Groshong® Picc Catheter features include a three-way valve, silicone structure, latex-free components, needle bar safety components, and no heparin flushing requirement.
Bard Magnum™
Magnum™ Reusable Core Biopsy Instrument is the only product that can be reused with high strength, light weight and one-handed installation. Its light weight and small size give better handling and control. The high-speed shot and precise needle design contribute to consistent, high-quality samples. Penetration depths of 15 mm or 22 mm are available. Compatibility with the TruGuide™ Coaxial Biopsy Needle improves efficiency and accuracy.
Magnum Needles features an extremely sharp needle trocar to consistently take superior core samples with minimal crushing. Its features include the selection of penetration depth to access testicular and seminal vesicle biopsies, etched needle tip for better visualization of ultrasound-guided needle placement, and color-coded cores for easy identification.

With its clinical experience of over 50 years, Bard ® Mesh is considered to be the Gold Standard to be used in a “tension-free” hernia repair technique. Bard ® Mesh strengthens the weakened area, allowing tissue growth and flexibility. Bard ® Mesh can be adapted as preoperative and can be customized to any unique situation.
It can be adjusted and trimmed depending on the needs of the surgeon. It is available in six suitable sizes. Shapes precut upon request allows the spermatic cord to open up and the rounded edges adapts to the anatomy of the inguinal canal. They are extremely well tolerated by the body. Monofilament fibers tend to have less bacteria compared to multifilament fibers.
According to literature reports, there is a risk of adhesion formation when Bard® Mesh is placed in direct contact with the bowel or viscera. Bard® Mesh should not be used in babies or children. Use of such materials might compromise growth in the future.
In the event that an infection develops, the infection should be treated aggressively and the necessity of removal of the mesh should be taken into consideration. An unresolved infection might require the removal of the device.
Intact Bard® Mesh displays a high explosion and tension resistance. However; especially for customized sutures, in special cases where the mesh receives excessive force, the following instructions can be helpful: A V-shape with a point with a radius will have more force compared to a V-shaped notch when making a notch in the mesh. Bard® Mesh’s natural tension resistance is at its strongest vertically to the edges of the edges. Doubling of the mesh can also increase the power of the repair.
DAVOL™ permanent or absorbable fixing devices or nonabsorbable monofilament sutures are recommended to properly fix the prosthesis. It should be indicated for hernia repair in cases where absorbable fixing devices are used. It should be made sure that the mesh is adequately fixed onto the abdominal wall. Additional fittings and/or sutures should be considered when necessary.
Possible complications may include seroma, adhesions, hematoma, inflammation, extrusion, fistula formation and hernia or soft tissue defect relapse. Mesh erosion and migration has been reported in gastric taping procedures.
